Documentation Specialist (m/f/d)

As an international software company and certified SAP partner, PROLOGA has been helping customers in the waste management industry to optimise their business processes with modern software products for more than 20 years.

As a documentation specialist, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and updating technical documentation, user manuals and training materials. Your work will help to improve the user-friendliness of products and services and ensure that important information is easily accessible for internal teams and customers.

Your responsibilities:

  • Creating and updating technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, maintenance manuals and API documentation

  • Maintaining and managing a central repository for technical documentation and ensuring it is complete, up-to-date and accurate

  • Cooperating with developers, product managers and other subject matter experts to gather and understand technical information

  • Translating technical concepts and information into understandable and user-friendly documentation for different audiences

  • Performing quality checks and reviews of documentation to ensure it meets internal standards and industry best practices

  • Developing training materials, tutorials and other resources to help customers and users utilise products and services

  • Provide technical support to internal teams and customers with documentation or product questions

  • Monitoring changes and updates in the software or products and adapting the documentation accordingly

  • Actively participate in internal meetings, training and projects to continuously improve documentation processes and standards

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in technical documentation, computer science, communication sciences or a comparable qualification

  • Proven professional experience in creating technical documentation, preferably in the field of software development or IT

  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable way

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience with documentation tools and systems

  • Knowledge of using graphic design and image editing software to create diagrams and illustrations for documentation

  • Team player and ability to work effectively with various stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

  • Excellent willingness to learn and the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new technologies and products

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and processes is an advantage but not essential
