As the energy transition progresses and renewable energy sources continue to grow, the German utility industry faces new challenges in congestion management, particularly in the electricity sector. For grid operators, the Redis 2.0 Cockpit offers decisive added value: It enables efficient and transparent processing of the balance sheet and financial compensation of the outage work caused by redispatch measures. Through integration into the existing SAP S/4HANA Utilities environment, master data is seamlessly supplemented and expanded to meet the specific requirements of Redispatch 2.0. The solution enables the calculation of outage work and the provision of these quantities in the EDM profiles at the respective market locations. The cockpit also supports the balancing and billing of outage work while considering regulatory requirements.
The web-based SAP Fiori apps offer an intuitive and modern user interface for monitoring and analyzing all relevant processes. Users receive graphical overviews and detailed information on data exchange processes, call-off management, plant landscapes, and the balanced and billed outage work. This ensures continuous verifiability of the results, from daily balancing results to the trigger of the call-off.
Redis 2.0 Cockpit for SAP S/4HANA is a fully integrated solution that aligns with existing SAP processes, enabling automated redispatch workflows, improving compliance, and enhancing operational efficiency. Redis 2.0 Cockpit for SAP S/4HANA on SAP Business Technology Platform enables both the calculation of outage work and provision of quantities in SAP S4/HANA Utilities EDM profiles at the respective market locations as well as the balancing of outage work as part of S/4HANA Utilities balancing. The solution also allows a detailed analysis of the balanced outage work with the option of jumping to the associated call-offs. Grid operators can analyze the balancing quantities by supplier, balancing group manager and requesting grid operator and thus are able to precisely understand the basis for financial compensation.
This application displays the billed quantities and allows users to check and, if needed, release them. Network operators receive a clear presentation of the billing processes and are able to perform plausibility checks and efficiently manage the billing status.
The backend of the solution offers scalable and individually expandable functionalities to support follow-up processes and automate periodic process steps. This enables flexible adaptation to future requirements and the optimization of operational processes in Redispatch.
